Officials of the Jangjingang and Hochongang power stations have confirmed on-site the operation of floodgates and the water passage capacity of waterways and worked out rational measures to raise the capacity to the maximum, thus putting the power production on a normal basis at a high level.

The Pujongang and Thaechon power stations are concentrating efforts on introducing efficient water turbines.

Researchers of the Electric Power Industry Institute and the Electric Power Information Institute under the Ministry of Electric Power Industry went to the Sodusu and Taedonggang power stations have introduced digital speed regulators and digital exciters, thus making it possible to achieve stable and sustained development of electric power production.

On this basis, they are pushing ahead with the work to introduce real-time efficiency measuring system into several hydro-power stations including Suphung and Thaechon power stations.
