Presented to the exhibition, held on the theme of "Plant resources in the DPRK", are rare and special plant species and pot plants and over 130 achievements made in forestry science and technology.

The exhibition will be held, divided into indoor and outdoor areas for the exhibition of successes and special and rare plants. During the period, there will be a symposium on the theme of studying touristic features of the forests in Samjiyon City and a sci-tech presentation.

Present at the opening ceremony were Vice-Premier Jon Sung Guk, Minister of Urban Management Im Kyong Jae, officials concerned, scientists, technicians and field officials.

Kim Kyong Jun, minister of Land and Environment Protection, made an opening address.
