The venue the banquet was filled with the excitement and joy of the participants greeting the significant day marking the ruling history of 79 years in the sacred place of the revolution which emerged as a powerful fortress guaranteeing the eternal future of the ever-victorious WPK.

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, attended the banquet.

When the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived with his beloved daughter at the venue amid the playing of welcome music, all the participants greeted with warm applauses the general secretary of the WPK who is ushering in a heroic era of epochal changes for the pure succession and development of the WPK, prosperity of the country and well-being of the people with his profound ideological and theoretical activities and outstanding leadership practice.

Present there on invitation were members of the central leadership body of the Party, deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly and teachers and researchers of the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK.

Also on hand were Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and other leading members of his embassy as invited individual guests of the head of state.

Ri Il Hwan, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, made a congratulatory speech at the banquet.
