The Ministry of Electric Power Industry worked out a plan for installing X-type water turbines on various generators on the basis of learning about the facilities of power stations in the hydroelectric power sector. And it has pushed ahead with the installation project in cooperation with relevant units.

The Sodusu Power Station installed an X-type water turbine in a generator to increase the generating capacity.

Similar project was conducted at Thaechon and other power stations.
