The DPRK women footballers took the first place at the 2013 East Asian Cup and proved successful at the 2015 EAFF Women's East Asia Cup.

They proved successful at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup and U-20 Women's World Cup in 2016 and won the third cups in September and November this year.

A meeting took place on December 9 to mark its founding anniversary.
