Production buildings with fish processing equipment, refrigeration processing building, office building, hall of culture, sanatorium, etc. were remodeled to bring about great progress in developing the country's fishing industry and improving the people's standard of living.

Present at the inauguration ceremony were Jon Hyon Chol, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Myong Guk, secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials of the Ministry of Fisheries and the Kangwon Provincial Fishery Management Bureau, working people and employees of the station.
