Work for Supporting Farms Brisk in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 7 (KCNA) -- Citizens in different parts of the DPRK have turned out in the work for supporting the socialist countryside, true to the decisions of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. Those in the capital city of Pyongyang carried more than 25 000 tons of manure to different farms in the city on January 5. Officials and working people in North Hwanghae Province have made high results in manure production and transport. North Hamgyong Province is increasing the enthusiasm for support to the agricultural sector. The provincial revolutionary museum, the provincial designing institute and other units transported manure by trucks to farms and Hoeryong City and Onsong and Kilju counties raised the operation rate of vehicles to hasten the transport of manure. Officials of the provincial public security bureau and young people in the province sent thousands of tons of manure and small farm implements to several farms. The Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Kangwon Provincial People's Committee transported tens of thousands of tons of manure to rural areas in the province and the provincial management bureau for regional construction and building-materials production, the provincial public prosecutors office and the provincial youth league committee, too, carried quality manure to farms by trucks. Officials and working people in Kaesong Municipality carried a large amount of compost to Uipho and Tokam farms of the Kaesong Municipal Rural Economy Committee. Encouraged by the assistance of officials and working people across the country, the agricultural workers are putting spurs to the preparations for this year's farming. |
