After-school Activities Brisk at General Education Units in Pyongyang
Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- General education units in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, are positively running extracurricular hobby groups.

Ponghak Senior Middle School in Phyongchon District observes the principle of enrolling students as members of extracurricular hobby groups after taking into account their aptitude, talents and hobbies. The school has made achievements by creating and applying new extracurricular education methods that help students consolidate the knowledge they have learned through after-school activities, and broaden their common sense.

Ryonghung Primary School in Taesong District set up a scientific amusement hobby group and other new hobby groups and has revitalized their operation methodologically so that pupils can acquire knowledge suited to their aptitudes and hobbies.

Educators of Tongsin Primary School in Tongdaewon District drew up guidelines for the operation of extracurricular hobby groups and have cultivated pupils' artistic skills, intellectual faculties, practical abilities, research ability and expression faculty through the operation of music, dance and math groups.

Munsu Primary School in Taedonggang District and other educational institutions, too, have put efforts into updating the rooms of hobby groups and providing them with apparatuses and equipment for experiments and practical training so as to ensure the effective operation of the hobby groups.
