Youth League Officials Tour Revolutionary Battle Sites in Area of Mt Paektu
Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- Officials of the youth league from across the DPRK toured the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

They visited the Samjiyon Grand Monument to lay a floral basket and bouquets at the statue of President Kim Il Sung and pay tribute to him.

They went round various places of the grand monument including the groups of subsidiary theme sculptures and the shore of Lake Samji.

Then they climbed Mt Paektu, the holy mountain of the revolution.

At the top of the mountain, the youth league officials enthusiastically sang songs including "We Are Koreans", hardening their faith and will to steadfastly follow the long road of revolution started in Mt Paektu under the guidance of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.

At the Mupho Bivouac, they looked round the site of the headquarters, the site of campfire, etc., being briefed on the fact that the President convened a meeting of commanding officers of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army and set forth the militant task for advancing into the Taehongdan area.

At the Mupho Angling Site, they recollected the undying feats of Chairman Kim Jong Il who developed and enriched the revolutionary ideas of the President with his rare wisdom and through his energetic ideo-theoretical activities.

They toured the area of Taehongdan.

Looking up to the legendary hero of the anti-Japanese war commanding the battle of Musan area, they were filled with the will to prepare themselves to be ardent young officials upholding the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea with one mind and loyalty.

During the march, they camped in forests like the anti-Japanese guerrillas and conducted such colorful political and cultural activities as a question-and-answer study contest and a meeting to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas. And they visited the Samjiyon Blueberry Drink Factory, the Samjiyon Schoolchildren's Palace, etc.
