According to him, the Natural Science Prize was instituted to appreciate more scientists and technicians and encourage them to exert greater energies in scientific research.

It is the prize awarded to those who have laid a scientific and theoretical foundation of great significance in economic construction by making a tangible contribution to the development of new scientific theories and methodologies in the basic science, cross-disciplinary science and other natural sciences by carrying out the state tasks of sci-tech development.

The prize is awarded to the persons who carried out the state tasks of sci-tech development and registered his or her successes as national sci-tech successes and those recognized by the world for his or her scientific research successes.
