Successes Made in Tideland Reclamation Project

| Pyongyang, February 22 (KCNA) -- Workers of the North Phyongan Provincial Tideland Reclamation General Enterprise in the DPRK finished the first-stage water proofing project in the first district of the Aedo Tideland covering more than tens of ris (10ris equal to 4 kilometers). Thousands of hectares of new land were secured and a prospect for finishing the reclamation of tideland ahead of schedule was opened with the completion of the project. On February 21, Ri Chol Man, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the Agricultural Commission, and Kim Chol Sam, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, met and congratulated the tideland builders who successfully completed the water proofing project. |
