A concert was given by the National Symphony Orchestra at the Moranbong Theatre and a music and dance performance by the Mansudae Art Troupe at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre to mark the 115th International Women's Day.

A one-act play, "laughter", was given at the National Theatre, and a circus show given by artistes of the National Acrobatic Troupe at the Pyongyang Circus Theater.

Artistes of the Central Artistic Information Team, the Workers' Art Group of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, the art group of the Central Committee of the women's union and the Railway Artistic Information Team gave colorful performances in different parts of Pyongyang.

Similar performances, dancing parties and colorful sports and amusement games took place in North Phyongan, South Hwanghae, Jagang and South Hamgyong provinces, Nampho and Kaesong municipalities and other parts of the country.

Public catering establishments across the country gave special holiday service.

Many people bought bouquets, flowers, greeting cards, souvenirs and other things for their wives and mothers at the souvenir and flower shops and flower stands.
