Fishery Stations in South Phyongan Province of DPRK Set out on Spring Fishing
Pyongyang, March 13 (KCNA) -- Fishery stations in South Phyongan Province of the DPRK have set out on the fishing campaign for this year.

The South Phyongan Provincial Fishery Management Bureau mapped out a plan for spring fishing and took measures to raise the scientificatoin level in fishing, while paying attention to the supply service for fishermen.

The fishery stations concentrated efforts on the repair and maintenance of fishing boats, conducting a socialist emulation among fleets and ships to stir up the flames of collective innovation.

The Mundok Fishery Station repaired and maintained equipment of all the fishing boats, produced and supplied fishing nets and various kinds of transport containers and organized the study of science and technology to enhance the technical and skill level of fishermen.

Employees of different fishery units pushed ahead with the work to safely set fishing boats afloat, while speeding up the repair of hulls and engines and the maintenance of fishing tackles.

Fishing boats left for fishing grounds in the West Sea on March 12.

Officials of the province, employees and families saw the fishermen off, presenting garlands and bouquets to them.
