Youths in North Phyongan Province Focus on Immediate Farming Processes

Pyongyang, March 18 (KCNA) -- Members of the rural youth workteams and sub-workteams in North Phyongan Province of the DPRK are working hard to glorify this year with signal successes in grain production. The youth workteam of the Tansan Farm in Pakchon County took a scientific measure for improving soil fertility and directed efforts to producing huminite and fermented manure to put over 20 tons of self-sufficing manure per hectare in fields. Youth sub-workteam members of the Hukrok Farm in Jongju City are making preparations for sowing rice seeds in nurseries. Youth sub-workteams of the Unjong Farm in Sonchon County and the Wado Farm in Kwaksan County have pushed ahead with the work to improve the soil affected by cold and humidity and spread the fertile soil on farm fields. Youth sub-workteam members of the Paekma Farm in Phihyon County and the Naejung Farm in Yomju County, too, are stepping up the immediate farming processes including the leveling of ground and the irrigation canal realignment while studying advanced scientific farming methods. |
