The mineral water has been famous for its wide cure range and great effect from hundreds of years ago.

According to the "Kangso County history", a historical document, the mineral spring was discovered in the Kangso area (Yaksu-ri today) for the first time 300-odd years ago.

The Kangso mineral water with sub-acidity contains calcium, sodium, magnesium, iron, sulphuric ions, carbonic acid gas and other good ingredients for human body.

A factory producing in an industrial way the Kangso mineral water favored by the people was founded on March 19, 1973.

That day President Kim Il Sung visited the mineral water resort in Chongsan-ri, Kangso County (at that time) and stressed the need to build a mineral water factory there, naming it Kangso mineral water.

From that day up to now, the factory has developed into the one serving the people under the warm care of the peerlessly great men.

One day in June 2017, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un looked round the factory and sampled the flavor of mineral water. And he set forth important tasks facing the factory, including the issue of increasing the production of mineral water and further improving its quality.

Over the past years, the factory has made successes in the work to improve the quality of mineral water and put its production lines on a germ-free and dust-free basis.

Kangso mineral water was registered as February 2 goods and the production line of bottled mineral water was awarded a food safety management system certificate.

A mineral water bath house, a comprehensive mass medical care center, was built to contribute to promoting the working people's health.
