When the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived at the venue of photographing, all the participants broke into enthusiastic cheers of "Hurrah!" in token of highest respect and boundless gratitude, looking up with emotion to the dear father of the great socialist family who bestows on them the greatest glory to be cherished as their lifelong wealth.

Kim Jong Un warmly encouraged the exemplary leaders of people's neighbourhood units across the country, expressing deep gratitude to them who are devoting themselves to the work of the people's neighbourhood units, finding exceptional honour and pride and worth of living in consolidating the foundation of the people's government and taking warm care of the convenience of inhabitants in their living.

Saying that there are many duties to serve the people in our society but there is a rare name like the leader of a people's neighbourhood unit most closely and intimately linked to the people, he highly appreciated the noble spiritual world and unknown efforts of the leaders of a people's neighbourhood unit who are rendering their sincerity to the inhabitants and making the people's neighbourhood units the groups of patriots without wishing for any honour or reward.

He said that dongs and people's neighborhood units are the cornerstones supporting our people-centered state and social system and the base of the inhabitants' living and that the function and role of dongs and people's neighborhood units serve as the motive force dynamically propelling the advance of our state toward the comprehensive development. He stressed that to strengthen dongs and people's neighbourhood units precisely means consolidating of the mass foundation of the people's government and to achieve harmony and unity in the people's neighbourhood units precisely means the single-minded unity of our society firmly united with love and affection.

Noting that the duties of the chiefs of dong offices and leaders of people's neighbourhood units are very important in making sure that the efforts of the Party and the government for improving the people's living standards are led to the people's bright laughter, he added that the chiefs of dong offices and leaders of people's neighbourhood units should become the possessors of beautiful virtue and traits, genuine householders and kind-hearted eldest daughters-in-law who are preferably visited by everyone in line with the characteristics of their work keeping personal contact with inhabitants, so that beautiful human relations and noble moral ethics pervade the whole villages and people's neighbourhood units like air.
