Present there were Minister of Public Health Jong Mu Rim, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled Jon Chol Hi, officials concerned, children of the rehabilitation center, nurses, kindergarteners, doctors and parents of the disabled.

At the ceremony, Song Hyang Chun, director of the rehabilitation centre, made an address to be followed by speeches.

The speakers noted that a benevolent measure was taken at the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea to establish an education aid system for disabled persons on a nationwide scale.

They stressed that the children with disabilities would bring their hope and talents into full bloom and grow brighter and stoutly under the benefits of the most advantageous socialist system of our country.

Then the participants went round various places of the rehabilitation center.
