Spring Campaign for Land Management Brisk in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- The spring campaign for land management is getting brisk in North Phyongan Province of the DPRK. The province has pushed ahead with the work to finish the spring land construction projects like dredging, embankment project and project for irrigation facilities in a qualitative way, while paying close attention to the allotment of manpower, vehicles and building materials needed for the improvement of the Amnok River basin extending tens of kilometers. Officials and working people in Jongju and Kusong cities, Unsan, Nyongbyon and Pakchon counties have accelerated the projects in a three-dimensional way, ensuring the rational organization of manpower and the full operation of vehicles. Working people in Uiju, Cholsan and Taegwan counties have found rubble and mixed aggregate resources to provide a quality guarantee for the embankment foundation projects, and officials and working people in Sakju and Kwaksan counties have speeded up the projects by employing advanced construction methods. Ryongchon and Unsan counties have carried out dredging and straightening waterway by mobilizing excavators and hydraulic loaders on the basis of scientific calculation of the amount of precipitation in rainy season. Unjon, Tongrim and Sonchon counties are pushing ahead with the construction of emptying gates and ditches for supplying irrigation water. |
