The provincial rural economy committee hosted a show on preparations for immediate rice-transplanting and manufacture of grain dryer at the Oguk Farm in Anak County.

The show importantly dealt with the scientific and technological issues arising in overcoming abnormal weather and qualitatively conducting irrigation and nutritional care of rice seedlings and exterminating harmful insects in first-stage rice seedbeds tending.

The participants were briefed on the problems arising in sowing cold-bed rice seedlings under open-air condition and tending rice seedbeds and sci-tech problems arising in cultivating wheat and barley.

Attracting the interests of the participants were also the issues arising in increasing the proportion of mechanized work in farming and manufacturing and using grain dryer as required by actual conditions.

Taking part in a discussion of measures were Pak Thae Dok, chief secretary of the South Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Won Kyong Mo, chairman of the provincial rural economy committee, and officials in the agricultural sector of the province.
