Since the Workers' Party of Korea set forth the programme for the rural revolution in the new era, more than 80,000 flats have been newly built at 1,500-odd rural villages for the past 3 years.

The rural villages in which trees of good species and flower shrubs were planted around single- and low-storied dwelling houses are as beautiful as a picture.

If this year's plan for rural housing construction is carried out, more than 100,000 modern flats will be built at the rural countryside.

The countryside, the pronoun of centuries-old backwardness in the past, has become the pronoun of epoch-making change and civilization. Farmers who envied the urban life have become the masters of happiness who receive free of charge the new houses to be envied by citizens.

Every year, new villages and new life have been witnessed in rural areas, which regarded backwardness from modern civilization as their fate.

The owners of the wonderfully-changed new villages express their deep emotion, saying that they came to enjoy a happy life at beautiful farm villages like the park and at dwelling houses in the garden.

The agricultural workers are filled with the hope for new life and new happiness and confidence along with the fairyland villages which have been built like a dream in the new era of rural rejuvenation.
