The exhibition, which instilled pride and self-confidence in our own things in our people and comprehensively showed the development and potential of our light industry, was successfully held, drawing the attention of many visitors.

Highly appreciated at the exhibition were products from the Songdowon, Amnokgang and Paekunsan general foodstuff factories, the Fish Processing Factory of the Chonapho Fishery Research Institute, the Sinpho Fishery Station and the Pyongyang Hosiery Factory that set examples in realizing diversification of consumer goods and improving their quality.

Drawing attention of visitors were the products presented by the regional-industry factories in Kimhwa County and the Onchon County Foodstuff Factory and the Unsan County Foodstuff Factory, the first creations of regional rejuvenation .

A closing ceremony took place at Pyongyang Department Store No. 1 on Tuesday.

Present there were officials concerned, officials of ministries and national agencies and officials and workers of production and commercial service units.

At the closing ceremony, a speaker stressed the need for the officials and workers of the consumer goods production units to produce larger quantities of world-famous quality goods favoured by the people, true to the intention of the Workers' Party of Korea to make the people live a more affluent and civilized life.

Diploma and February 2 Goods Certification as well as prizes were awarded to excellent units and products at the ceremony.
