Though ten-odd years have passed, the people vividly recollect the day, when members of the Korean Children's Union who were in camp greeted the moment of glory, as if it were yesterday.

One day in May 2013, the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Municipal Myohyangsan Children's Alpine Camp to go round various places of it.

When he dropped in a bedroom, he learned in detail about the children's life with parental affection, asking about the temperature control, the supply of bedding and its washing.

Looking round the then mountain-climbing knowledge dissemination room, he stressed the need to decorate the room to help children accumulate a great stock of practical knowledge while collecting animals and plants during the camping. After reading the desk data in the room of the Children's Union, he said that various educational and common sense data should be made in a practical way.

Going round the dining hall, he learned about the campers' dietary life and stressed the need to establish a proper system of supplying condiments, meat, egg and vegetable according to the prescribed amount and furnish modern kitchen utensils.

That day he met the KCU members from various schools at the camp and had a photo session with them.

Indeed, the DPRK children growing under the loving care of the great father are the happiest in the world.
