Successes Made at Irrigation Projects in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- The material and technical foundations of agriculture have been further strengthened in the DPRK amid the intensified struggle for implementing the Workers' Party of Korea's programme for the rural revolution in the new era.

Over the past two years, irrigation projects for more than 460,000 hectares have been completed across the country and nearly 10,000 hectares of paddy fields which had been turned into dry fields have been irrigated.

Officials and working people throughout the country are striving for completing the irrigation projects for over 200,000 hectares of paddy and dry fields scheduled this year.
