Brisk Sci-Tech Innovation Movement in DPRK
Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- Over the past one year, more than 270 units in the DPRK have won the title of the model sci-tech learning space through the vigorous scientific and technological dissemination to prepare the producer masses to be intellectual workers.

The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Tanchon Smeltery have built sci-tech learning spaces with huge database and put their operation on a normal basis. They are also opening a shortcut to revitalizing production by introducing advanced sci-tech achievements and valuable technical innovation proposals necessary for modernizing production processes and equipment.

The Ryongmun Coal Mine of the Kujang Area Coal-mining Complex worked out a detailed operation plan and is giving control and guidance to the study to make employees acquire professional knowledge conducive to production through the operation of the sci-tech learning space.

The Ranam Coal-mining Machine Factory and the Pyongyang Textile Machine Factory are operating the sci-tech learning spaces in combination with technical consultative meeting and application for technical innovation to solve the technical problems arising in the worksites.

The Sinuiju Textile Mill has intensified work for introducing the knowledge gained by technicians and workers in the course of scientific and technological study into production, thus remodeling over 150 shuttle looms into air looms.

The operation of the e-library at the Ryugyong Dental Hospital serves as a process of thinking and exploring for the medical workers to acquire more advanced dental treatment techniques and use them for patient care.

The Pyongyang Daily Necessities Factory is raising the technical knowledge and skills of technicians and workers while conducting field technical study in correlation with the operation of sci-tech learning space. The Korean April 25 Film Studio, too, makes the creators and artistes improve their qualifications through the operation of the sci-tech learning space.
