Pyongyang, December 4 (KCNA) -- People from all walks of life on December 1 staged actions for the repeal of the anti-reunification fascist law in various parts of south Korea. The Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration held a press conference in Seoul at which it stated that it could confirm the will of the people to struggle for the repeal of the "National Security Law (NSL)" in the course of waging a 57 day-long "sit-in strike on the situation for frustrating the crackdown upon participants in candlelight actions, foiling the case faked up against the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration and getting the NSL abolished." The Lee Myung Bak "government" should bear in mind that its reckless crackdown through the invocation of the evil law is little short of precipitating its self-destruction, the solidarity warned. The Solidarity for Progress of south Korea opened a photo and information exhibition in Seoul disclosing the history of the crimes committed by the force of the NSL. The Kwangju and South Jolla Provincial Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, the South Kyongsang Provincial Council for People's Living and Democracy and victims of the NSL in the area of South Kyongsang Province held a press conference strongly demanding the abolition of the NSL. An action demanding the repeal of the above-said evil law was staged in Pusan with at least 30 civic and public organizations involved. |
