Put on the stage were such colorful numbers of diverse genres as choruses "My Country Is Eternal Country of the Leader" and "May, Month of Victory", band music and song "The Glow over Kangson", male solo "My Beloved Factory", singing in unison and story-telling "Hungnam Is Alive with Farm Fields", agitation with song "Are We Living like in Those Days?" and drum-beating and song "Let Us Glorify Socialism on Songun Fleet Steed".

After watching performances Kim Jong Il expressed great satisfaction over the fact that workers of the complexes gave performances perfect in ideological contents and artistry as they truthfully reflect their life. He extended high appreciation and thanks to all performers and creators for the successful performances and showed such great loving care as inviting them to give performances in Pyongyang.

He said that the popular art in full bloom among workers of the complexes serves as an example of noble new culture of the workers in the era of Songun based on the revolutionary soldier culture.

It is something laudable that workers of the post-war generation, in particular, have reliably preserved the noble revolutionary spirit displayed by the workers of the preceding generation and given steady continuity to their spirit, he noted, stressing that unshakable is the revolutionary position of the workers of the DPRK thanks to the large contingent of such dependable workers of the new generation.

Noting that revolutionary art serves as a powerful means greatly encouraging the people in their revolutionary struggle by emotionally moving them and stirring up their thinking and spirit, he indicated tasks to be fulfilled to further intensify popular cultural and performing activities.

Among the audience were Thae Jong Su, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, department directors and first vice department directors of the WPK Central Committee and leading officials of the province and the complexes.
