He expressed belief that the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people would glorify this year, the 65th anniversary of the founding of the WPK, as a year of great changes to be specially recorded in the history of the building of a thriving nation.

Juan Campos Vega, chairman of the Mexican Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea, noted that the joint editorial published by the leading newspapers of the DPRK on the New Year serves as a militant banner as it reflects the grandiose plan of Kim Jong Il to bring about a radical turn in the people's standard of living and indicates ways to do so.

Nzemba Yangana, chairman of the Youth Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in Democratic Congo, extended full support to the Korean people in their efforts to adorn this year marking the 10th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the 30th anniversary of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo as a year for bringing about a new phase of independent reunification and replace the Korean Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty.
