The message expressed belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would grow stronger in political, economic, cultural and other fields, wishing the government and Prime Minister of Vietnam great success in their responsible work for the industrialization of the country and improvement of the standard of people's living.

DPRK Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun, too, sent a similar message to his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Gia Khiem on the same day.
