The notice stressed the need for servicepersons, especially party members and cadres, to study hard the history of the CPC and the CPLA through the competition to make sure that they obey to the party's command and serve the people and the good tradition of the brave army is carried forward and displayed.

The notice called on the party committees and political organs of different levels in the army to minutely conduct the organizational work and ensure the effectiveness of the competition.
