Kim Jong Il's Songun Politics Praised by British Organizations

| Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea released a joint statement on April 8 on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK. The statement said that by electing Kim Jong Il chairman of the NDC of the DPRK it has achieved great successes in bolstering up the Juche-oriented defence capability, revolution and construction and overall state affairs. The last 18 years have been a glorious period in which the Korean people have won one victory after another in the confrontation with the U.S. imperialists and their stooges, it said, and continued: The Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il serves as an all-powerful treasured sword for protecting the DPRK from the imperialists' aggression and firmly guaranteeing the sovereignty of the country. The statement expressed belief that the Korean people led by Kim Jong Il would register greater successes in their struggle for building a thriving socialist nation. |
