10-day Film Shows Open to Mark Day of Shining Star

Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- The 10-day film show was opened with due ceremony at the People's Palace of Culture Wednesday to commemorate the birth anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star). Documentary films dealing with the revolutionary history of great persons born of Mt. Paektu will be screened at cinemas and cultural houses in Pyongyang and other parts of the DPRK during the show. They would include "Carrying forward the Songun Revolutionary Cause of Mt. Paektu", "Under the Guidance of the Great Brilliant Commander" and "Care Shown to Make Their Lives Shine." Also to be screened will be feature films such as "Star of Korea", "Heritage", "A Summer at Hwasong Uisuk School", "White Gem" and "Wish." Similar film shows opened in all provinces on the same day. |
