Present there were Vice-Minister of Culture of the DPRK Sim Tong Gol, vice-chairman of the organizing committee of the festival, officials concerned, heads and members of art troupes of various countries, overseas Koreans art troupes and other delegations.

There were a declaration of the establishment of the fund, a keynote speech, a briefing on the activities of the fund, recommendation of directors of the fund as well as the conferment of certificates upon those who helped make preparations for the festival.

Speeches were made there.

They said the festival held in the idea of independence, friendship and peace has served as a grand international art assembly helpful to developing multilateral exchange in culture and arts.

The activities of the fund are very important for holding the festival with splendor, they added.

They underlined the need to steadily improve the contents and style of the fund and the necessity for personages of different social standings of the world and organizations to closely cooperate with one another in the fund's activities in the days ahead, too.
