Born on April 21, 1892, Kang Pan Sok gave a birth to President Kim Il Sung and devoted her all for the emancipation of women during the period of the Japanese colonial rule over Korea.

Seen in the upper part of stamp are letters "On 120th Birth Anniversary of Kang Pan Sok, Mother of Korea " and "1892-Juche 101 (2012)".

It pictures Kang Pan Sok standing among members of the Anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army, which was organized by Kim Il Sung.
