Signature Campaign for New Education Launched in South Korea

Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- The Taejon Civic Organization for Implementing New Education in 2013 composed of more than 20 civic organizations in Taejon of south Korea launched the one million signature campaign on September 24 for realizing genuine education.

The organization held a meeting prior to the start of the signature campaign.

The organization said at the meeting that the citizens' solidarity organization was formed for the repeal of the unpopular education policy and to make 2013 the year of establishing the new education system in Taejon following Seoul.

It said that they would positively struggle for a solution to the registration fee issue, enactment of the law for the rights of the juvenile, school youth and children, etc.

It vowed to wage diverse activities for providing new conditions for education including a mass rally in front of the Educational Office of Taejon on October 17.
