Speakers at the rally said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Ministry of Defence on Sept. 26 and 27 announced they would stage a sea interception drill for searching and tracking ships suspected of carrying WMD which constitutes the key factor of the PSI drill.

The drill will reportedly involve not only south Korea and the U.S. but the Japanese "Self-Defence Forces", they added.

They accused the U.S. of seeking to boost the military alliance for aggression and hold a military edge in Asia through the PSI drill, condemning the Lee Myung Bak regime for steadily pursuing its confrontational policy toward the north with the help of the U.S. and Japan.

In particular, Japan is betraying its undisguised attempt for turning itself into a military giant and staging a comeback to Korea, they said, charging that PSI is nothing but a declaration of war as it is part of the policy to blockade the north.

They demanded warmongers immediately stop the PSI drill which stirs up the military tension and conflict and threatens peace in the peninsula.
