Pyongyang, January 6 (KCNA) -- Some objects have been recently registered as national and local intangible cultural heritages in the DPRK. Wedding custom of Korea and legends about Moran Hill and Mt Myohyang were listed as national intangible cultural heritages and Haeju boiled-rice hash as a local intangible cultural heritage. Wedding custom of Korea includes the procedure of marriage, the wedding clothes of bride and bridegroom, the wedding table preparation and mores displayed through the process of wedding ceremony. Legends about Moran Hill and Mt Myohyang are a product of the Korean people's distinguished talents and wisdom. They tell the Korean people's honor of having Moran Hill, a pride of Pyongyang, and picturesque Mt Myohyang as well as the ardent patriotism displayed by them to defend the country from foreign aggressors. Haeju boiled-rice hash, mixed with bracken, parsley, laver, etc., has long been a special food of South Hwanghae Province. |
