Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) -- Hydro-power stations in the DPRK are increasing the power production from the beginning of the year, true to the decisions of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Their officials and workers over-fulfilled the daily quota by 14.5 percent in the first week alone.

The Suphung Power Station carried out its first weekly production plan 117.2 percent by putting water control on a scientific basis.

Pujongang and other power stations, too, have carried out their daily production plans by managing equipment in a responsible way and increasing the generating capacity.
