General Bureau of Tanchon Area Mining Industry Fulfills Its January Plan

Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers of the General Bureau of the Tanchon Area Mining Industry who turned out in the implementation of the important tasks set forth at the 6th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea fulfilled their national economic plan for January on all indices.

The Komdok Mining Complex fulfilled its January plan for mineral production ahead of schedule.

The Taehung Youth Hero Mine and the Ryongyang Mine pushed ahead with the work to ensure mass mining of ore and keep the crushing system in full capacity despite the unfavorable conditions in winter and raised the tranport capacity of vehicles to increase the ore production.

The Tanchon Magnesia Factory, the Tanchon Smeltery and the Tanchon Mining Machine Factory gave precedence to supplying raw and other materials and organized the alternative production in a scrupulous way to increase the production.
