Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- The revolutionary slogan "A-Match-for-a-Hundred" is displayed at the defense lines of the country guarded by officers and men of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the training grounds full of their spirit of annihilating the enemy, This slogan was put forward by President Kim Il Sung when visiting the Taedoksan post in the forefront on February 6, Juche 52 (1963). That day, he acquainted himself with the combat readiness of the sub-unit and the living of its soldiers for a long time and gave precious instructions which would serve as guidelines in developing the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK into matchless combat ranks. He said that a general well-versed in battle has been called a match-for-a-hundred combatant from olden times, setting forth the slogan "A-Match-for-a-Hundred" to be adhered to by the KPA. On the day when visiting the post in the presence of the President, Chairman Kim Jong Il said that the slogan put forward by the President reflects the high demand to turn the KPA into a powerful revolutionary armed force and thus make it possible to emerge victorious in the battle against any enemy, indicating the ways for implementing it. The KPA, which was more firmly prepared to be an invincible revolutionary army under the care of the peerlessly great men, has steadfastly defended the gains of the revolution and reliably safeguarded the security of the country and people with arms while smashing every aggressive move of the provocateurs. The revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK are now firmly carrying forward the tradition of proud victory, fully displaying the spirit of a-match-for-a-hundred as they hold the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in high esteem as the supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK. |
