KPRA Birthday Marked in DPRK
Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- The people in the DPRK significantly celebrated the 91st founding anniversary of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA).

Many citizens visited the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state to pay tribute.

Servicepersons and people visited the statues of the great leaders on Mansu Hill and portraits of their smiling images in different parts of the country to pay floral tribute.

Many people visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery which instill the noble mental world of the forerunners.

Officials, working people, youth and students toured the Jongbangsan Revolutionary Battle Site, the Majon Revolutionary Battle Site and other historic sites.

Colorful performances were given at theatres and outdoor stages in Pyongyang.

Art performances were given in South Phyongan, North Hwanghae, Kangwon, South Hamgyong and Ryanggang provinces and other parts of the country.

Dancing parties of youth and students and women's union members took place in Pyongyang and provincial seats, cities and counties.

On the same day, many officials, working people, youth and students visited families of war veterans and disabled soldiers to share feelings of kinship with them.

Public catering establishments in Pyongyang and other parts of the country, including Okryu and Chongryu restaurants, and public resorts like the Central Zoo, the Natural History Museum and the Munsu Water Park were crowded with visitors.
