Meeting with War Veterans Held in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- Youth and students met with war veterans at the Central Youth Hall here on July 24 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953).

When the war veterans entered the venue of the meeting, youth and students greeted them, presenting bouquets.

Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, in his congratulatory speech paid high respects carrying the minds of the youth and students across the country to the victors of the 1950s who gave the Korean people the privilege and the supreme honor of celebrating the great war victory for the ages.

Then, war veterans Pak U Chil, Kim Jom Sun and Pak Tok Hae made speeches.

The war veterans recollected with pride the grim days when they fought decisive battles against the aggressors in their youth with the absolute loyalty to President Kim Il Sung, an ever-victorious iron-willed commander, ardent love for the country and the hatred for the enemy.

They asked the young people of the new generation to hold in high esteem the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, peerlessly heaven-sent great man, and glorify the country as an indomitable nation of war victory along with July 27, the war victory day.

Youth and students expressed their determination to invariably carry forward the revolutionary spirit and the fighting spirit of the do-or-die resistance shown by the defenders of the country in the 1950s.
