Present there were personages of political parties and organizations and members of the Juche idea study organizations in Finland and Sweden.

The participants laid bouquets before the art work depicting President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il standing together at the venue of the event and paid tribute to them.

Speeches were made there.

Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, said that the U.S. imperialists ignited a war of aggression out of their wild ambition to occupy the whole Korean peninsula and, furthermore, dominate the world by stifling the newly founded DPRK, but suffered a shameful defeat by the Korean people armed with the great idea.

The DPRK has tremendous nuclear deterrence to defend peace and stability of the country as it is aware of the danger to be produced by the U.S. hostile policy and sustained military threat more keenly than any others, he said, adding that the friends of the DPRK in Sweden will positively support the just cause of the Korean people.

Juha Kieksy, international secretary of the Finnish Communists' League, highly praised the exploits of President Kim Il Sung who led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory, thus humbling the arrogant U.S. imperialists and bringing about the beginning of a downhill turn for them.

A congratulatory message to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
