The session deliberated the issues of amending and supplementing the laws of the DPRK on science and technology, invention, quality control and others and adopted relevant decrees.

The law on science and technology further detailed the contents related to the country's development of science and technology, including the review of the implementation of the science and technology development plan and the duty of the institution for examination and introduction of science and technology.

Newly stipulated are the contents of some articles of the law on invention related to the principles of application and examination of inventions certificate and patent right, application for inventions certificate and patent right which can be made in the name of institutions, enterprises, organizations and inventors, rights of patentees and inventors, etc.

The law on quality control stipulated the basic requirements for inspection and supervision of products, notification of inspection of products, issue of quality certificates, re-examination and other issues for intensifying the quality control.
