Week of Film Show Opens in DPRK
|Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- A week of film show opened in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea with due ceremony at the Pyongyang International Cinema House on Monday to celebrate the 75th birthday of the DPRK.
Revolutionary film "My Country" and "Socialism Is Our Home" and other documentary films dealing with the undying patriotic devotion of the peerlessly great men will be shown at cinemas and cultural houses across the country.
Screened also will be such features films on various themes as "Diploma" and "One Day and One Night".
Present at the opening ceremony were Jo Kyong Jun, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Ri Myong Chol, secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, officials, creators and artistes in the field of film production and working people in Pyongyang Municipality.
Kim Jong Ho, deputy director-general of the National Administration of Motion Picture Industry, made an opening address.
At the end of the ceremony, its participants watched a documentary film "Father of People".
Week of film show opened in provinces on the same day.
