Officials have given precedence to the supply of materials while tightening the organic ties and cooperation between workshops and processes. Their economic operation and enterprising work style lead to the smooth production of large-scale custom-built equipment including compressors for the coal industry.

The workers and technicians of the Songun Cast Iron Factory and the cast steel workshop No. 2 have made responsible efforts to manage the induction furnaces, shortening the melting time per charge and strengthened inter-process coupling to provide the materials needed for the production of compressors.

The machine workshop No. 1 and other processing workshops have carried out their daily schedule by introducing various working methods and the Songun compressor workshop is organizing the campaigns in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experiences with them.

The work for modernizing equipment is also progressing apace.

Workers and technicians of the complex are stepping up the technical upgrading of drilling machines and turning lathes and directing efforts to establishing a new process capable of increasing the precision of castings and the production capacity.
