The 92nd candlelight rally and demonstration took place in Seoul on June 1 on the theme of "Let's realize impeachment in reflection of towering public rage!"

Prior to the candlelight rally, lawmakers from opposition parties, including the Minju Party, and members of various organizations held large rallies in protest against the murderous tyranny of puppet Yoon and the "People Power Party", as regards the fact that a bill on a special investigation into the death of a marine of the ROK puppet army was finally rejected at the "National Assembly" on May 28.

Speakers at the rallies condemned the Yoon-led group for persistently rejecting the special investigation, although it has been revealed that the group put pressure on relevant persons to cover up the truth behind the crime when the death case occurred.

The Yoon group's refusal is just a declaration of disregarding the lives and security of the people and an undisguised obstruction to investigation, they charged.

They stressed that opposition parties and civic organizations would wage do-or-die resistance in solidarity against the Yoon group.

Then there began a candlelight rally of workers, peasants and students demanding the impeachment of Yoon.

Recalling that Yoon has faced a ruling crisis for having caused the danger of war, security crisis and destitution of people and other disasters through his fascist dictatorial suppression, speakers at the rally warned that the regime, forsaken by the public, is bound to meet final doom.

They called on the public, political parties and organizations to turn out as one to impeach him.

Demonstrators marched along streets of Seoul, shouting slogans with large placards and posters reading "Let us realize impeachment in reflection of growing public anger!"

Meanwhile, a movement of posting newspaper on walls was launched at universities in Seoul, Taejon, Kwangju, Taegu, Kyonggi Province and other parts of the ROK to denounce Yoon and call for the disbandment of the "People Power Party".

The candlelight action sponsoring the mass resistance of people from all walks of life posted on its website an article saying that the public struggle for impeaching Yoon is getting stronger, angered by his dictatorial regime's rule backed by the prosecution.
