Women in DPRK Strive for Implementation of WPK's Childcare Policy

Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- Women's union members in the DPRK make their sincerity to the implementation of the Workers' Party of Korea's childcare policy. Women's union officials and members in Kangdong County of Pyongyang have sent goat milk produced by themselves to dairy production units. And union members in Sapho District of Hamhung City, South Hamgyong Province, have striven to boost the milk production after building goat pens by their own efforts and securing tens of goats. Those in Unsan and Kwaksan counties of North Phyongan Province have regularly supplied eggs and health foodstuffs to nurseries and kindergartens in their regions. They are breeding domestic animals at their homes to contribute to the nutrition care of the children. Those in Phyonggang County of Kangwon Province sent supplies to Wonsan Baby Home and Orphanage. Meanwhile, women's union members in Taedonggang District of Pyongyang have voluntarily carried on the greening work around Pyongyang Baby Home and Orphanage. Similar activities have been conducted by women's union members in Phyongsong City of South Phyongan Province, Kanggye City of Jagang Province and other areas of the country. |
